Prakash Jha, director of controversial film ‘Aarakshan’ says there is no alternative before him but to show the film to politicians to allay their doubts.
He said, “We don’t have any alternative… This film is based on a social issue and people should watch it. If they (social people) have any doubts, I am ready show Aarakshan to them and allay their doubts. There are no options left for me.”
Meanwhile, Ramdas Athawale, president of Republican Party of India (RPI) informed that Prakash Jha has accepted their demand to cut some controversial scenes and dialogues from the film.
Speaking at a joint press conference, RPI chief said, “Prakash Jha informed that he is ready to edit some objectionable scenes from Aarakshan.”
It is said that controversial theme and dialogues of the film may create social unrest and law and problem in many state.
Notably, the Uttar Pradesh government and Punjab government have already imposed a ban on release of Aarakshan.
The film is slated to hit the theaters on Aug’ 12.
