Happy B'day Salman Khan

On his birthday, astro-numerologist predicts that from Salman Khan's upcoming films in 2012, 'Dabangg 2' will be a step ahead of 'Ek Tha Tiger'.

He may have done some serious wrongs in his real life in the past, but nothing can take away from the fact that people are just 'Ready' to accept the 'Dabangg' man in any avatar. On the eve of his birthday, we ask astro-numerologist Bhavikk Sangghvi to find out what's in store for
Salman Khan - the most charismatic star ofBollywood for the upcoming year 2012.

"Salman was born on 27th December 1965 which makes him a Number 9 (
Mars) person in numerology. He is a Capricorn (ruler Saturn - Number 8) and his destiny number adds up to Number 6 (Venus)", explains Bhavikk.

"Being ruled by Number 9, Salman is a tough nut to crack. He is firm with his decisions but can get impulsive at times which he should be wary of. Being ruled by Number 8 (Saturn) he has knowingly or unknowingly put himself in trouble most of the times and been there at the wrong side of the law. But this is the same 'shani' which has given him tremendous success, popularity and love of the people all around the world. With the right balance of mind and looking at things more rationally, he can actually improve his personal life more as Number 6 (Venus) indicates a good marriage life and his family loving nature", explains Bhavikk.

"The coming year 2012 adds up to Number 5 (Mercury) and Salman will be entering in his 47th year which indicates unnecessary delays in his life whatsoever", predicts Bhavikk. "His work assignments may not get complete on time and schedules might go haywire sometimes due to his fault and at times due to other technical reasons as well. Even his love life will remain more or less dry with no sign of concrete relationship happening anytime soon"

"But on the film front, his next release ' Ek Tha Tiger' in the Eid of 2012 would prove to be a profitable venture as the film title (sums up to Number 32) vibrates well with the year 2012. However Number 5 is usually not lucky for Number 9 people and hence the film may not be able to exceed the collections of ' Dabangg 2' which will turn out to be a 'bigger hit' in comparison when it comes to pure box office figures", signs off Bhavikk on a clear cut note

Huge remakes in Bollywood in 2012

From 'Players', 'Agneepath', 'Rowdy Rathore', 'Son of Sardar' to 'Chashme Buddoor', 2012 will see a string of remakes in 2012.

Bollywood has been remaking films since times immemorial but off-late filmmakers are opting for official remakes over blatant plagiarism.Ghajini, Wanted, Ready, Bodyguard just ascertain the fact. The year 2012 kick-starts with an official remake - Players and there are many more of them in store. We list down the most prominent remakes in 2012 analyzing 'what's new', 'what's retained' and the 'remake history' or each.

Players
Remake of:
 The Italian Job (1969)
After making a career out of unofficially remaking foreign films, director-duo Abbas Mustan are making their first official remake by adapting The Italian Job in Indian milieu.
What's new: The setting is new - New Zealand. There will be the customary Bollywood song-n-dance between the big heist. The actors are trying hard to be cool.
What's retained: With the official rights being purchased, of course the entire heist sequence should be the same.
Remake history: The 1969 Michael Caine-Noel Coward flick was remade in 2003 with
Mark Wahlberg and Edward Norton.

Agneepath
Remake of:

Agneepath (1990)
Karan Johar chose Hrithik Roshan over Abhishek Bachchan while remaking his home banner's Agneepath starring Amitabh Bachchan, which is considered cult cinema despite being a box-office dud.
What's new: Mithun Chakravarthy's award-winning supporting character is chopped off in the remake. Instead a new character of
Rishi Kapoor is introduced who plays the most mean and menacing role of his life. Sanjay Dutt's Kancha Cheena goes bald. And there's Katrina Kaif who scorches the screen with Chikni Chameli (again remake of a Marathi song).
What's retained: This official remake claims to derive very little from the original other than basic elements (ironically unofficial remakes are copying more from the original ones).
Remake history: Mukul Anand's 1990 film was heavily inspired by Al Pacino's 'Scarface (1983) and seemingly Hrithik Roshan's version seems more close to the original with claims that Duggu dear pays homage to Pacino. Interestingly even
Hollywood plans to remake Scarface sometime soon.

Gauri Khan had a big Christmas bash at Mannat on Saturday night.

She had been planning for it all of last week and had called all the regulars like

A source reveals, "It was not a slip-up. She was deliberately left out. Gauri called everyone from the Don 2 unit but her. This is the first time PC has been kept away from a party at the Khan home. Her absence at the party didn't go unnoticed and some people were overheard discussing it in hushed tones. At first everyone assumed that she would arrive later, but after a point it was clear that she wasn't arriving as she hadn't been invited." The last time Gauri-Priyanka met was at a recent Don 2 trial, and they were cordial to each other.

A source close to PC says she wasn't at the party because of family commitments, "Her parents were going out of town. So she decided to spend time with them after her shooting
