Chennai Express Poster
Going by these first posters of director Rohit Shetty’s much-awaited film Chennai Express, Shahrukh Khan and Deepika Padukone are set to take Chennai -- and the rest of India -- by storm.
The posters of the film are out with the start of 2013 and the duo rock in different looks in them. If one poster has Shahrukh Khan on a bike with Deepika Padukone riding pillion, another has the duo posing on a railway track with guns and goons. The duo is seen wearing South Indian lungis. Not to be missed is an urn in these posters.
Bearing the Rohit Shetty stamp, the posters have cars blown off, baddies flying around and the hero flaunting his strut and swagger.
There has been buzz that Chennai Express will have Shahrukh Khan doing a lot of dare-devil stunts. However, the superstar recently denied that.
“I have read somewhere that I’ll be going shirtless and doing big stunts in Chennai Express, but there is nothing like that. I am just romancing in the film. That’s what I know to do well,” Shahrukh recently said.
However, the superstar did admit that the film features some cool stunts.
“Rohit has designed some really cool stuff, but it was safe (doing the stunts). He does stunts so well that you don’t realize if a stunt is being performed. It’s very very safe. I think it’s what he’s learned from his father and the fact that he’s been making such action films,” Shahrukh said.
Chennai Express is jointly produced by UTV Motion Pictures and SRK's Red Chillies Entertainment. The film is slated to release in the second half of 2013, probably close to Eid
